Revolutionary leader Garaad Jamaac meets the Ugaas of Awdal

This is a dangerous change for Somalia. Soon every tribe will want their own state and every village will want to have their own president. Why can’t Isaaq, Dir & Harti in the north just get along?
Do not lament now brother. The prevailing orthodoxy is, I am laandheer and you must suffer my tyranny. This is the natural outcome. May 1000 new states blossom ameen 🙏

These meetings must be going on with the blessing of Jigjiga. The question is why and what does Jigjiga benefit? Till now I can’t figure it out

The meeting was in Addis Ababa and not Jigjiga.

Also during the Suldaan Wabar uprising, he was operating from Ethiopia. When Somaliland asked Ethiopia to hand him over, the Ethiopian Foreign ministry refused. The Ethiopian Federal government clearly told Abdi Iley that he cannot arrest Suldaan Wabar. Which is why he was operating from Ethiopia for many years and has a house in Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa refuses to hand Gadabursi over to Hargeisa

Published on 30.01.2015 at 22:03 GMT

The Ethiopian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhane Gebre-Christos declined, on 16 January, to comply with the request from the Somaliland Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Bihi Yonis, to expel the Gadabursi who have taken refuge in the Somali Regional State. Hargeisa suspects these Gadabursi of being linked to Abubakar Elmi Wabar (Jibril Yonis/Gadabursi), the leader of a rebel movement in Awdal Province in Somaliland.

100% that the trajectory, next will be Hiiranstate and Banaadir state, and down the line marexaan will get jealous and demand their own federal state which Hawiyes will ofcourse give them, thus creating another 2 more Hawiye states, in the end Somalia's federalism will be nothing more than regional admins ruling themselves under Mogadishu Central Authority.

Please haa na habaarin walaal, what Somalia needs is a Confederate system of government, Federalism works for advanced to somewhat advanced nations with stability, education and a history of good governance.

You really think a bunch of xaasid illiterate nomads are going to get along? This is why I despise the old heads of Puntland, they're too obsessed with Xamar.

There shouldn't be a Capital, let every clan focus on their own cities and deegaan.

Use logics sxb, the more new FMS are created the more federalism loses its meaning, who are we to deny the determination of the people, if the people want Xariirland, Hiiraan state, Gedo state, udub state, maakhir state , Awdal state and etc than so be it, the people's wishes matters.

What is Federalism to you? Not all countries have to govern the same, what's best for Somalia might not be what's best for Ethiopia or Kenya.

Germany, Scotland, the Netherlands, and Japan just 150 years ago were also split up, once Somalis control their own deegan and FMS, the fitna will stop.

THEN we can talk about integration, you don't start with State development from the top, you start from the bottom.

What do you think made this Mogadishu central authority possible in the first place? Somalis?

No, it was the Italians, Somalis only came together thanks to the Colonial powers of Europe, anyone saying otherwise is arguing in bad faith.
