30 years of freedom from the evil Darood man and not a single neighbourhood of paved roads in what used to be the second capital of Somalia.
Somalis should just allow all isaaq contestants in the next couple presidential elections, and yeah, allocate some money to pave some roads in the north, in exchange they drop the ictiraaf dream.
A true census has to be done then. How would you stop Somalis from occupied Galbeed and NFD from taking partSpecial treatment sets a bad example, the other mamuul goboleeds will demand the same. The solution is fair allocation of aid and Gov funds to regions based on population. Each of the 18 regions of Somalia should get funds equal to what percentage of Somalia population they are then subdivide in district populations.

Yeah it does set a bad precedent, but right now the primary concern is bring them to the fold, and they are adamant they want nothing to do with Somalia, especially since Sland's elite political circle is dominated by prominent figures from SNM.Special treatment sets a bad example, the other mamuul goboleeds will demand the same. Somalia needs to give some concessions, as a show of good faith, but I am not even sure that would work.
Why do we need to bring them to the fold or make concessions? What do they have to offer us? They have boycotted federal politics for 30 years. They will have to accept the consequences of that when they eventually give up on ictiraaf. I see no reason to rush or beg when they're barely holding on as it is.Yeah it does set a bad precedent, but right now the primary concern is bring them to the fold, and they are adamant they want nothing to do with Somalia, especially since Sland's elite political circle is dominated by prominent figures from SNM.
