The fact that there are geeljire chopping down trees and contributing to desertification when we have the fastest wind sounds in the world, longest sunlight hours and we're rumoured to have one of the largest Uranium deposits in the world is a travesty.

wow great development, btw very suprised that 60% of the electricity in garowe is renewable energy, I also heard the country has strong wind power especially the coastal areas, Somalia is blessed with natural recourses.

We should invest in solar and wind farms we can mass produce cheap and plentiful electricity while not harming the envirenmont and export it to inland Africa.

Everything leads back to having an incompetent government and zero institutions. If we had a ministry devoted to environmental protection, we'd be able to stop the damage to the environment which contributes to global warming, climate change, and drought. There should be designated areas for grazing and areas they (nomads) cannot pass. The problem is, it's a free for all and no one is regulating anything.
