Lets unite Djibouti, Somaliland and Puntland into one Waqooyi State
Lets rename Somali Region or Ogadenia to Galbeed State
Lets rename the NFD and Jubaland to Waamo State
Lets rename Mogadishu the Greater Mogadishu Area (G.M.A.), expand it to be a megalopolis comprised of the cities of Mogadishu, Merca, Lambar, Afgoye, Jowhar, Adale and Balcad
And the part that is left in the centre can be Galguduud expanded

So Somaliweyn can be the country, comprised of five regional states of Waqooyi, Galbeed, Waamo, Galguduud and the G.M.A. aka Xamarweyn
Thus all the regions can have homogenous names ingenious to its people's native language

Somaliland was always called that name. Dulka Somaliyeed is historic and Somaliland is a translation of that name


Somalia has its Italian adopted name, italian treaty borders, Somalia Italiana coat of arms with leopards, Somalia Italiana blue flag and white star, and italias ideology of La Grande Somalia which Ernest Bevin later called Greater Somalia and what Somalians till this very day call for, Somaliweyn.

@Hafun I haven't watched the speech you are talking about. All I know is that during his nine year rule as JSL president Egal AUN supported our right to self determination. In case he was secretly a unionist he wouldn't have imposed reunion on us as the fact was the constitutional referendum in 2001 was held on his orders, giving the people the chance to vote to maintain the independence or reunite with our neighbour
