An essential part of being patient, as a Muslim, is to not broadcast ones pain, or discuss the hardships or grief one maybe experiencing...or to let the mouth complain about it. Indeed, one should and could, complain to Allah, who is capable of alleviating one's pain, but to complain to the creation contradicts patience.
One should hide their pain to the point that people assume you live a life of ease. One continues to smile, one continues to be optimistic and have good thoughts of their Lord.
Indeed, your pain won't last forever, the pleasures [women, wealth, property, etc] you indulge in won't last forever, either.
Then one day, we will all be held accountable for what we've done while in this world. On that day? Your money, your cars, your property, your offspring, none of that will help you!
So the wise one reflects upon this and acts accordingly.
