Mx especially the yar yars in gedo are heavily invested in shabab. Without Ethiopians gedo would be over ran in hours they can’t even hold the tulooyin and cities. Garbaharey and bleed xaawo is shut down road for shabab.No single city in gedo can be accessed by road without 10 soldiers being killed in a gun battle with alshabab.

They use ceyr connections for security reasons and most of the weaponry alshabab has is from the ceyr clan after the maxakiim war. The ceyr are known to be wishy washy they went from chasing marexaan to working with them in kismaayo in the 90s.
