Release of POWs from Laaska

Garaad Jaamac facilitates the release of 6 Samaroon prisoners from Laaska, with plans to release all the Samaroon prisoners. This comes after Garaad Jaamac met with Ugaas Cabdirashid in Addis Ababa. Release of Garxajis prisoners is also on the table with the coordination of the Gx elders.


Ugaas Cabdirashid responds and gives thanks. Seems like the Ugaas has a plan instore for these released men.

Whoever made the video is lying. The person who made the video/post doesn’t even know our Garaadka guud is Garaad Jama Garaad Ali and not Garaad Jama Garaad Ismacil.

No maxabis is in the house of any Garaad. They are all in the prisons. Whoever talking on the video is doing just that. Their is no evidence presented just words.

Also during the war, I remember you @Arkan claiming fiercely that no samaroon was in this war when we claimed we caught samaroons.

Hopefully, no pows are released no matter their clan. This men took a conscious decision to attack us in our cities and people. This will be a major betrayal to Jamaahirta and all those who lost their life to protect us and apprehend these criminals.

They should exchange an equal amount of the Hartis that they have. The rest should be released for $50,000 each but the top brass should be executed. I think that's fair.

Fair enough. I personally wouldn't give a damn if they were all shot including the Samaroon ones. Anyone who fights on behalf of another man's interests deserves the worst

That would be a low IQ move especially after establishing the moral high ground. Why gift your enemies an opportunity to slate your conduct? Don't be emotional, SSC have the upper hand in every arena and SL have been destroyed. They will never recover. You also risk the same being done with the Harti prisoners. A prisoner exchange of low level soldiers would be the smart move and keeping the high ranking officers imprisoned.

It's likely the poster made a mistake considering Ugaas Cabdirashid responded to one of the Garaad Jaamac's and verified there's been release of some POWs.

I learned about the actual Samaroon participants from my side after the war had ended. There was no prior evidence, nor were there any Samaroon posting about it. I saw substantiated lists that included soldiers who were either killed in action or captured after the war, with people verifying that they indeed knew some of them.

Still, I condemned the Samaroon soldiers actively participating, even if there was that possibility during the war. I couldn't care less about those mercanaries but if the Ugaas is partially behind their releases then there might be something behind it.

I came to learn that not all Samaroons were created equally. I heard that there is 1 subclan that is very pro SL while the rest is anti SL. Prisoners belonging to the pro SL subclans should remain imprisoned.

Relations between Awdal and SSC seem to be good. The Awdal state movement has strong ties to SSC and I hope they'll dislodge themselves from the secessionist regime.

Muuse bihi adminstration and sland are a two separate things, its muuse's administration that lost but the random lander barely lost anything and everything else is actually the same apart from dhulbahante gaining control of eastern sool, and we all gonna see who got the short end in 2 years

It's not a specific subclan, but the spineless ones of poor character and/or credentials which are the issue. Suppose you compare SL to politicians in Somalia. There is an over-representation of foreign-trained PhDs in the latter. That should tell you where the resources and opportunities are. If the talent pool of Awdalites, aka Samaroon/Gadabuursi, is unconcerned about SL, that's very telling. It's because they see it as having no real future. Nor do they feel a part of it. The only ones invested have a price and a vice. Those who encouraged the poor to sign up for something that wasn't even their war. Goes to show you their blood lust and how they love to use people as chess pieces. If your head is worth $100 for a shisheye conflict, you don't value yourself. And are working against the best interests of your people. Your ancestors would be so ashamed by how far you have fallen, considering they did not care for nearby shisheye in the territorial sham called former British Somaliland.
