@GemState I don't think it's possible to be poor in Europe. Maybe on paper but all your basic needs to survive will be met by the state. You might have some mild inconveniences like a shitty, loud mixed-race neighbour family with a scary pitbull but that's as far as difficulties will go. Unless you're a single, unemployed, homeless, straight white male on drugs, you're doing A-OK. Caano for £1.50 and store brand baasto for £1 or less is not a crisis. If thats too costly, go to the food bank. I know a nurse in council housing. This is all overblown by people who have expensive tastes (Reer London love driving their Mercedes but cry poverty).

There are some exceptions but living in an area with a lot of crime increases the likelihood that you will end up as a criminal.

Furthermore, Ceer is DEFINITELY not enough to survive, maybe in the shitty smaller towns where you are surrounded by old white people but not in the big cities.
I work as a dev and earn a really good salary, this is not about me but low skilled people. However, I do agree with you that people need to get into a trade or a really good degree (tech, med, finance e.t.c, )
