A port should be the least of our concern

Laasqoray its 100km from Bosaso

And around 85km from Badhan.

Solve the road problem and Laasqoray will be booming again like it did pre-1990


The problem with dowlada Kacaanka is that they took all the revenue LQ fish factory and Majiyahan mine made from the tuna factory and mines and put them into Muqdisho.

Sanaag and Haylan in my opinion are in need of roads. The Bosaso port expansion plus road development will be enough for us imo

I think a better investment for Laasqoray is to focus on commercial fishing. Expand the existing jetty port so that commercial fishing boats can dock there, and renovate the fishing factory. Laasqoray should be a fishing hub, the commercial fishing industry is big business

I agree the roads are the biggest priority. I also agree with the guy who talks at the 10 min mark. Long term we should be building a fishing port in the same way the people built Garacad. Inshallah those types of investment happen once the roads are built

Coastal Sanaag isn't comparable to any other coast in Somalia , the accessibility is barely there. A fishing port is an easy 3 mill

Yea coastal Sanaag and Raas Caseyr are the coastal areas with the least accessibility due to the mountains. Roads are the only thing we need the government for. Once the roads are built, the private sector investments will follow

A port is needed so we can bring in building material. Bosasso is good, but its best we have our own. What good is our coast without a single port we control.
