He has been undoing Trudeau's leftist policies and many Conservative supporters have switched to him. As long as the Liberals are centre-right, they will always win and the country will remain united. Canadians like serious business/lawyer types in charge and Carney is a very serious man with a serious resume.

He'll be in opposition forever if he doesnt resign. He could have won the election if he spoke about immigration and end the temporary foreign worker program but he didn't out of fear of offending his Punjabi base (he has about 50% of them). Carney was smart and is seeking closer ties with the BJP, and not Khalistanis, which his party has traditionally done, and holds the other 50%, who stayed with him. The Punjabi NDP leader had zero support from his own community. As I said, Poilievre is to the left of Carney so I have returned back to supporting the Liberals. There's zero reason to support Poilievre the Punjabi Pleaser now.

You're very well versed in Canadian politics. The car industry will soon collapse like Australia's past but relations will remain dependent for the foreseeable future. Canada is a vassal state. I don't see a future for this country unfortunately other than capitulation or fight to the death to preserve any dignity that remains.
