Couldn't care less about such things but if you're curious, dad is Dishiishe (paternal line) with Warsangali, Habar Yoonis and MJ in him. Sanaag-Bari folks. Mom's paternal lines are reer Mudug (Reer Khalaf) MJs but on both sides her fam were basically those MJs who went down to Koonfur during the 19th to early 20th centuries or so. Her father's side married Reer Gedo Mareexaans (forgot the sub but I remember my ayeeyo saying they were big wigs like some reer Ugaas of some kind) and her mother's side married Maalin Weyn Raxanweyns from Baydhabo. All genetically identical to northerners given mine and parents' genomic structure.

So I myself am 6/8ths drawn from northeastern subtribes. Dishiishe, Majeerteen, Warsangeli and Habar Yoonis. In that order of frequency of importance.

How interesting, we already share distant ancestors though I don’t think I’ve ever met a dishiishe outside of puntland.

I’m a CM but I carry some non cm ancestry through my maternal side, primarily LK and OG, and cismaan maxamuud, then dhulbahante if we go back further, but we differ in that you have “non Darod”ancestry even though you’re from the far north (Bari) whereas i carry none and I hail from mudug/nugaal.

They're dumb. Have you not seen the same idiots also pretend and debate like Northerners and Southerners have hard time understanding each other. Like how disengenous can they be? I am from the Somali region, and I understand every Somali from anywhere 100%, even may speakers though I don't understand them 100% but I do understand them enough to have a mutually intelligible conversation. Went on a tangent there but in short, there's no detectable physical difference between any Somali group based on their location.

I think Somalis are pretty uniform from Djibouti all the way to Mudug and parts of hiiraan. Once you get to Juju ooga booga territory it gets weird.
