Text: Salam all i was just wondering what you guys would think of moving myself, my wife & daughter to somalia. I really don't want her to grow up in the Uk(where i'm from). Any suggestions on cities and feel free to tell me if you have moved/are moving to Somalia.

It's very positive to move with your wife and child to Somalia to learn the deen and language, as long as she is getting educated for an example online schools you can use etc.

I am thinking of doing this in the future as well, just need to find a peaceful city in Puntland.

If they intend to live and raise the child there for the rest of her life. She had no chance, no future and no nothing.

Wouldn't suggest it, I'd go to Somalia to learn about our culture but education should take priority above all.

You need internet + money and the daughter can become educated.

Focus on your daughter’s education, take them to Somalia from time to time but it’s better for her to grow up in the UK

Its a good idea. Your kids will grow up cultured. Take her there just not the capital too dangerous. Let her attend private schools and quran schools. She will be fine.

Thats not what the statistics say walal. Wealthiest Somalis are the ones who live in Non western Diaspora or back home. Western diaspora are the lowest performing Somalis of all time and an embarrassment

Raise your daughter here in the UK and she will very likely be a dh!lo who does balloons, smokes weed, drinks alcohol, goes clubbing like most somali girls.

I don't think somalia is a good option because of how things are there currently.
There are other countries in Africa where somalis have settled and are very successful.
She can learn culture, deen and not fall behind in education in those cities/countries.

That is, if UK is a big no for the dad.

Those are people who went back to Somalia from diasporas and have done businesses
If he raises his daughter in a great environment(away from London)and he focuses on her education and raising her to become a woman with morals, she can then achieve so much in her life
It isn’t true that the diaspora are doing badly, a few bad apples make it seem so, but then again I live in Birmingham where Somalis are doing pretty good

Im curious if he dont want his daughter to grow up there than why didnt he go back home marry and settle there instead?

The education she gets in UK is something she cant get in Somalia

And secondly why cant he take the kid back home every year to learn the coutry and culture shes gonna appreciate her opportunities more this way
