I was really feeling festive that I went to go get henna after eid.

Got the black henna done, it was all fine. I was feeling like an old habar, so i decided to add the red henna too.
f*ck, that's where i made the mistake
As i was taking the dried henna off, I started to feel numbness/ tenderness in the areas of the red henna. I felt weird sensations on my hand/arms. I couldn't tell what was going on, so i held my arm to the light and took a look at it from the side. lo and behold, I had a bad case of poka dots swelling.

Suddenly pain started to creep in. I went to my mother and told her. She looked at me like i was an idiot
and said "Naa maxaa igasodonaysa.
Waa suun. carar iskadaq cacanta." I washed and scrubbed over and over and over again

As i was drying my hands, this insane burning sensation took over.
Alhamdullah after several hours, the swelling has partially gone down. the burning sensation, pain, and tightness is still there tho.

I swear to god, these henna ladies need to stop adding daawo to the red henna. That shit doesn't belong on human skin.

My festive feelings were zapped
don't know how i'm gonna go to work today
