Real estate investing tips

Do a lot of research on the city/neighborhood you're buying into. My biggest advice: don't buy in a city that's building an excessive amount of properties. This is rare in western countries, however a good example is Chinese cities and Dubai. For those 2 examples renting is always better.

Oh, and don't buy on the US west coast. This includes every city ranging from Vancouver to LA. Chinese and other foreigners are inflating prices by investing in speculative housing so the high prices aren't natural or worth it for that matter. It's better to invest in Chicago, MN, or the south.

Consider investing in real estate in Somalia. Do your research and don’t get scammed of course, but there’s good margins because it has some risk. You can be an early adopter, like those people who bought bitcoin in 2009 is the idea. Probably shouldn’t buy anything in al shabaab controlled areas to avoid paying their high taxes.

Which cities in Somalia would you invest in and what’s the budget you would invest? Thank you.

Probably anywhere in Puntland/Somaliland. Hargeisa is a bit expensive so if your budget is less than 100k look at Puntland. Again, avoiding al shabaab controlled areas. Berbera and Garacad look great too because they’re up and coming port cities.
