The Ottomans controlled Egypt for some time, so she may very well have Turkish heritage.

Nah, there's no evidence of Turkish admixture in like 99% of Egyptians. Just some minor West-African and extra Nilotic admixture seemingly from the slave-trade. Any other admixture is mostly a continuation of what's been happening with Egypt since the Middle Kingdom which is absorbing gradual waves of Semitic admixture from the Levant.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there substantial Semitic admixture in the Egyptian population prior to the Middle Kingdom? If not, where did the bulk of their Eurasian ancestry come from prior to the Middle Kingdom?

What I've heard about the upcoming Old Kingdom samples is that there was only a low amount of Iran-Chalcolithic related ancestry and that they looked ancient "North-African" which I'm assuming implies being somewhere on a continuum between Iberomaurusians and Natufians (Ancestral North African + Anatolian mixes). Basically ancestral Horners, I'd wager. At least on the MENA side. The Levant-Bronze Age type ancestry they've noticed only really started popping up in the Middle Kingdom era from what I've heard.

Please forgive me for the flurry of questions I'm about to ask, but this is really interesting and I'm trying to piece it all together.

I'm going to try to provide a run down of my understanding of all of this, so please bear with me as I (predictably) muddle things up a little:

The Iberomaurusians were an intermediate population (30-50% SSA + Dzudzuana/Anatolians) that was paternally African and maternally Eurasian, right?

This intermediate population (Iberomaurusians) subsequently underwent another admixture event -- this time with the Natufians.

The paternal profile of the Natufians was dominated by African paternal markers as a result of this admixture event, and the Iberomaurusians absorbed more female mediated Eurasian admixture.

What do you suppose was the proportion of African ancestry at that point? And what do you suppose it was at the dawn of the Egyptian civilization?
