Loool, no. Not a character. A real somali woman who was close friends with my ayeyo. She lost her dear husband and 2 sons in the civil war. She then worked in a morgue, handled dead bodies for a living.
She could be very funny one minute then turn into an unhinged skeptic the next (not that I think you are unhinged, maybe a little bit but aren't we all to some degree ?)
What I admired the most about her was how easily she controlled her emotions. I remember one time she was very angry and cursing out this adeer. Soon as he left, she resume her cheerful mood like nothing happened. My grandmother was amused and asked her how she is able to do that. She then explained that she's simply numb. That she rarely gets happy or sad and most of the time "performs" whatever appropriate emotional response the situation calls for. Now that I write about her, I realize you may have nothing in common. Never mind, I'm taking back everything I said..

Wow, Very interesting @Hodan from HR I have the same numb that she talks about but i never lost two children and husband. And guess what-- cleaning dead body was my teenage years love profession. It seems your ayeeyo friend had some mental problems too, I differ with her-in when i get angry--which is rarely- i can't put it off. It lingers in the vicinity, and anyone close by- their file will be opened, and hell will surround them. lol I have to bring down the entire universe.
