Quran States Arabs are the Worst in Disbelief and Hypocrisy.

It states in the Quran in Surah Taubah that Arabs of the Desert are the most stubborn in disbelief and hypocrisy and most prone to not know the limits of Allah (swt). In our times do you think this is true? We see how much of Munafiq Saudis/Emiratis are and they are the epitome of desert Arabs. The poor state of Yemen and the state of their land and the injustice inflicted upon them by their own desert arab kin. The khawarij that have rosen from the Nejd Desert and what UAE/KSA have done to ummah and how they have backstabbed us while smiling in our faces. Do you think this was a foreshadow?

9:97. The Bedouin are more stubborn in disbelief and hypocrisy, and are more likely to be unaware of the limits prescribed by Allah in what He has revealed to His Messenger. And Allah is AllKnowing, Most Wise.
9:98. Some of the Bedouin regard what they spend [in the cause of Allah] as a penalty, and they wait for some misfortune to befall you. May ill fortune befall them! And Allah is All-Hearing, AllKnowing.
9:99. But some of the Bedouin believe in Allah and the Last Day, and regard what they spend [in the cause of Allah] as a means of drawing closer to Him and of deserving the prayers of the Messenger. Indeed, it will be a means for them to draw closer to Him. Allah will admit them to His mercy, for verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

now here is the tafsir from Sheikh As-Sadi:

"«(The Bedouin)* that is, those who dwell in the desert and the wilderness «fare more stubborn in disbelief and hypocrisy)* than the city-dwellers, among whom disbelief and hypocrisy also exist."

So this is talking about bedouins who live in the desert- as opposed to city-dwellers. I don't think Arabs in general are bedouins who live in the desert. Some do, some don't. The Sheikh continues:

"That is for a number of reasons, including the following:
• Their lack of knowledge of religious teachings, righteous deeds and Islamic rulings. Hence they are more likely <to be unaware of the limits prescribed by Allah in what He has revealed to His Messenger>, such as the fundamentals of faith and rulings on commands and prohibitions, in contrast to the city-dwellers, who are more likely to be aware of the limits prescribed by Allah in what He has revealed to His Messenger (^||). Thus the city-dwellers - because of this knowledge - will develop proper understanding and will be more motivated to do righteous deeds of which they are more aware. None of this is available in the desert. City-dwellers have a gentle nature and willingness to follow the one who calls to good that is not found among the desert-dwellers; they sit with people of faith and mix with them more than the desert-dwellers do. Therefore they are more likely to do good than the desert-dwellers. Even though there are disbelievers and hypocrites among both the desert-dwellers and the city-dwellers, there is more harshness and roughness among the desert-dwellers than among the city-dwellers."

So this is talking about city-dwellers versus desert-dwellers. If Wikipedia is to be believed, as far as Saudi for example (and Saudi takes up a lot of Arabian peninsula obviously including Mecca and Medina)

another thing is according to the Sheikh- a lot of this is about the bedouins being sort of cut off and lacking knowledge. it might be less of a factor these days with modern communications. in any case, your tafsir is not a good tafsir and you shouldn't play with the tafsir of the book of Allah.

I literally never insulted Arabs. I used the Quran quote ans mentioned the State of the Arabian Peninsula. I never said this is confirmed and said this could possibly be applied to Desert Arabs of this time. Why you so offended Mr Mexicano?

the ayah says "a'raab" which is the word for the bedouins of the time of the prophet alayhi salatu wasalam. somalis are like them. trying to use this ayah for racism is disgusting. and and somalis are practically a bedouin nation anyway lol.
