Quit schisms, shall we?

I came across this fine artist today, and was taken in by the power of the lyrics, and vocals. Lovely composition and instruments. On the fly, I thought to roughly translate it for the non-Somali speakers amongst us. For those wordsmiths amongst us, see if you could improve the translation.

Suldaan Seeraar.

/* English
Quit schisms, shall we?
Toss cliquism to aside, shall we?

Precious, unity is,
Cherish nationhood, shall we?

[Chorus]
A divided nation of many junks,
Possesses no allure,
Join along our contemporaries, shall we?

Embrace lost souls, shall we?
Follow the righteous, shall we?
A family, ours is,
Be a single nation, shall we?

[Chorus]
A divided nation of many (10) junks,
Holds no beauty,
Join along our contemporaries, shall we?

/* So'ma'li.
Qolo qolo ma daynaa?
Qabiil ma iska tuuraa?
Waa gaali midnimaduye,
Qaranimo ma dhawrnaa?

[Hoodhis]
Ummad toban u qaybsami,
Qurux yeelan maysee,
Gayrkeen ma raacnaa?

Galdanaha ma qabannaa?
Qumanaha ma yeelaa?
Waa qoys dadkeenuyee,
Dal qudha ma noqonnaa?

[Hoodhis]
Ummad toban u qaybsami,
Qurux yeelan maysee,
Gayrkeen ma raacnaa?

True wisdom, indeed. Thanks for sharing this delightful song/lyrics.

This plague know as qabyaalad will unfortunately not disappear anytime soon. It's been amongst us for so long, that being Somali is sadly synonymous with that concept. They are indifferentiable at this given time.

We have neighbouring countries/people, whom we also share similar social structure. But our societies stands completely in contrary to one another. The difference is that they've realized that maintaining a mindset where everything revolves around a "deceptive" kinship, will keep them at a stalemate, as every other civilization advances.

We, on the other hand, have been unable to reach that stage. Forcing this development on us, is doomed to failure, as evidenced by attempts made hitherto. This responsibility has now fallen down, to each and every shoulder, to recognise this shortcoming. May everyone see their fellow people - of the same ethnicity, religion, language, culture - as his own, linked through our divine traits blessed by our creator, and letting these factors being sufficient common denominators. In creating a destiny together, through blood and by choice, while recognizing our unique and diverse god given visions.

I concur with you, and shall hope to see schism-free Somalis, in my lifetime. iA.
