Hi, I have so many questions in regard to African immigrants in the West and I've been wondering for a long time what stems from this. I'm not going to ask anyone who could be a bias white racist who can't be taken seriously so i'm hoping anyone here can finally answer this one. I'm sure most of you know what i'm talking about.
I'll start off with what I've seen so far living here mostly observing East Africans/horners. It's a bit long rant so please bear with me.
At my work in the last 12 years, casuals in busy days come in from all sort of backgrounds and from observation when I'm tasked to supervise them, I've found all Africans ethnicities (including Somalis that talk 24/7 with no awareness, like nothing as if they have a disability) to be the most laziest and unreliable.
When they hire them, my gut instinct is always right that things are not going to get done on time. I feel deeply embarrassed because of my "skin color" being associated with them in the eyes of others that sees "black" as one. What can I say? I prefer Asians for their "no talk for 9 hours, short break" mentality for an ease of mind but I can't openly tell them to selectively choose based on names.
Working in blue collar jobs is known to be very frowned upon among every African descents in the West.
At this point, I don't think laziness is the reason. It must be that they're genetically predisposed to follow their ancestors lifestyle where they only relied on agriculture and a nomad life. It is also the same back at home where Whites, Asians and Turks are doing the lifting and operating under their own company.
What led me to believe this theory is to take a look at the first generation immigrants, East Africans started off working as taxi and truck drivers. Whereas, first generation Eastern Europeans, South Americans and Asian (including Arabs, Turks and sub continent) started off with trades, manual laboring, automotive and IT.
Then when you look at the second and third generation which is today, they're now working the same unskilled job along with Uber, security guard and other solo errand types where they work on their own.
Meanwhile, all the other second generation immigrants opened a construction, automotive, hospitality, real estate, agriculture, textile, IT industry and the list goes on in span of just 20-30 years of living in the West. Some of them come from impoverished or war torn countries so I don't want to hear any excuses.
No, I don't consider the over-saturated generic Horner restaurants and small shops in the middle of the outdated malls to be a big achievement but WTF is that?
On top of that, African descents that live in the West for 200 years haven't done anything (entertainment don't count).
I just can't wrap my head what caused this? Is it the genetics, culture or actual laziness?
