Question regarding the life of Adam.

When Adam went to the angels and greeted them, did he speak Arabic (did he say Assalamualaikum)? I was under the impression that although Arabic was an old language, it wasn’t that old.

Arabic only came about after the time of Nuh pbuh

Adam pbuh spoke what we would call as Adamic language, the original tongue. This language is the source of all languages today. Allah swt taught Adam pbuh the names of everything
