I think the whole concept of being a stepdad is flawed due to having responsibility a father doesnt want and also not having the power to course correct child manors in a effective way. What's scary is that in some states, if the child lives with you for more than two years and your new wife decides to get a divorce, guess what? You're paying child support for a child that is not yours, and it's an Ajnabi child. I'd instead let my hooyo cash in my life insurance while I dip back to Somalia.

If the own father of this child doesn't want it, why would I? there could be something wrong with it that he may know about, for instance, a medical problem that may show up in the future from his family. I've heard plenty of stories that the father of the child comes back once that child is 18, and now they want to be a father to them.
