King ferdinand of aragon aswell its was a joint effort between the House of Castile with Queen Isabella I of Castile as their representative and King Ferdinand II of Aragon as the representative of aragon.

Oh it's very easy to see why it fell apart if you read the history. Personally I would say they deserved it because they saw it coming for 100s of years and did nothing about it literally to the end they where busy backstabbing each other and siding with the Spaniards against each other. it only made sense for them to all fall I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.
