Barbados is in the process of removing the English Queen from the Head of State position and become a Republic by November 2021. Some suspect it may due to Chinese pressure, since the Chinese have a growing economic & military partnership with the Island nation.
On a side note, it's incredible how successful the Anglos have been at maintaining close ties with their former colonies in the Caribbean, Asia/Oceania & Africa, since many still have the British Queen as their Head of State and incorporate the British Flag into their own Flag to symbolise the close connection with the Mother Country Great Britain. The Former colonies that have chosen to become Republics still maintain their association the UK via being Commonwealth members. Other Europeans do not enjoy that level closeness with their former colonial territories.
