Qatar scraps visit visa requirements for 80 nationalities and Somalia is not among them

Somalia and Sudan who sided with Qatar are not included but the Vatican City is included. The only African country for no visa requirement to Qatar is South Africa.

I think it has little to do with overstaying as for these countries from Central Asia, South America, Suriname, Maldives and Thailand will only attract people seeking better opportunities in Qatar. I think it has got to do with the destinations of Qatari Airways, the world cup and turning Qatar into a Dubai like tourism destination after the world cup. Otherwise, who sill stay in those many hotels they are constructing for the World Cup?
