Qabiil is bullshit

First of all Ive got nothing against qabiil but qabyalaad I mean qabiil it got good points like

-It teaches you to connect your family members
-It protects your lineage
-It is a safety net in time of need money/marriage/ financial difficulty)
-It strengthens family ties

Qabyalaad is a different story,Honestly though when I was in Somalia i didnt hear much qabiil talk or qabyalaad for that matter but here in the west its worse Ive seen people who werent even part of the war raised in Europe who hates certain tribes

Now I never said deny your qabiil, you cant deny who you are but with the way it ruined somalia what benefit did it have then and what benefit does it have today None

Somalis need to get rid of this tribal talk. Don't waste your time with this. It isn't beneficial knowledge.

Walahi I'm not even into clans but I once attended a clan party in London, the girls(my cousins) there
were all beautiful, It made me proud that night and my aunt was hooking me. The ease in which I was

I keep in close touch with my parent's extended family up 5 awoowos but they're usually intermarried with our close family too. I'm not sure I'd care about sub clans.

Look how qabilist people on this forum are, now multiply that by a 100 and that is how people in Somalia are. Qabil has been a major support system that kept people protected and alive during the war and to this day. We in the diaspora can say it has no value, and that is true for us but for people in Somalia it is important. Until people can rely on other institutions other than qabil the situation will remain the same. It has been almost 30 yrs since the collapse, under the best case scenario it will take a minimum of another 30yrs.

For us to get rid of tribalism we need to get rid of Qabil itself. Otherwise we are kidding our self. In the 1970s many Somalis were ready to sacrifice their children to liberate fellow Somalis so it is possible to get nationalism stronger Qabil, but it will be a new journey much harder this time since the trust as been lost.
