The emancipation of Puntland Women.
Puntland Women are the backbone of Puntites and the bedrock of our nation (Puntland). They bring life into Puntland. They sense the cries of an infant. Their instincts are to care for the old, the sick and those in need. Our mothers, sisters and daughters share a core value of caring for others. We need more women leaders in Puntland. And if Puntland is essentially human, it is female, Puntland women fighters may make up a huge percentage of warriors, and given the historical prevalence of Puntland, many women have been involved in the freedom struggles, developments and foundation of Puntland. They have held a variety of roles in the Puntland struggles.
Efforts must be made to Empower Puntland women.
1.Puntland government must take cognizance of and practical measures to undo the tragic and shameful conditions of women in our society. The authority must be the first to reach out and to react when injustice occurs. They must be the ones to get all the facts out. They must not be overly concerned about the secrecy or confidentiality of the evidence.
2.Establish a National Commission on the Status of Women to oversee women’s rights: and a gender reform action plan, fully funded by the government of Puntland, to ensure enhanced representation of women and their overall emancipation. These efforts will help our women make great strides.

4.Puntland government must adopt these lines and put it into action.
5.The aim has to be the Political empowerment of women. Empowering them politically gives them a way to shape their own future. Through empowerment, they gain an opportunity to fight for women’s cause themselves in the highest governmental bodies.
