The looming war of ideology and religious dogma is set to take place in Puntland.

President Said Abdullahi Deni from the Islaax who are more relaxed when it comes to religious dogmas is trying to cement his beliefs in Puntland.

Puntland has traditionally been Ictisaam (reformed Jihadists who gave up Jihaad) stronghold.

The Ictisaam dominate the business and religious world in Puntland and are deeply anchored into the fabric of society.

During the election a unusual partnership formed between Asad Osman former head of PSF and Ictisaam which Boqor Burhaan belongs to.

Why would a man whose agency worked and benefited from America's war on terrorism and who handed over a score of Jihadists and perceived Jihadists to the US command in Djibouti to keep the funding going and get a financial reward for every captured 'head' go into alliance with reformed former Jihadists who are against the hand over of any Muslim to non believers and are against spying against Muslims?

It is simple they saw the threat from Said Abdullahi Deni and to their business and religious scene dominance in Puntland which they felt will be weakened by President Deni if elected.

It will intensify in the coming years inshallah.

Faroole is ictisaam leaning yet supports Deni. Islax is well represented in the education sector running schools like Imam Shafici and universitities East Africa.

The Islamic groups in Puntland are disarmed and toothless. Sufis will annihiliate them.

Abdalla true some thought 'war' meant actual physical confrontation.

Islaax are well represented in the education and do quiet well.

Faroole had an agreement with Ictisaam facilitated by Uluma of his clan but he is Tabliiq.

What is the difference between islaax and ictisalam? The arab country they bootyclap for?

They are all splintergroups of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. Islax denounced violencd. Etihad, rebranded themselves as ictisaam after AY karbaashed them, want to use violence to achieve their goals.

The Salafis splintered from Etihad in the gulf war. Salafis said we wont wage war against our arab kings, but they were, and still, support the likes of Taliban.

So basically

Islax is the pacifist MB: make love not war
Etihad. Hardcore, field , but beaten senselessly like Kunta Kinte
Salafis: Ideologically same as Etihad. Jihad good, but not against Arab leaders

Boqor Islaax are non violent and don't engage in physical confrontation they used to be mocked by the group that calls itself Ictisaam now who were known in the past as Al- Itixaad who fought and engaged in violent struggle and 'Jihaad' in Bosaaso where they captured the port and Garoowe before being defeated and running to Sanaag. They fought in Gedo too but after defeat they rebranded as Ictisaam and stopped the fighting.

They were essentially the teachers of Al Shabaab before they splintered and took their own path.

The former umbrella of Islamic resistance and revivalism group Al Itixaad fragmented some stayed on their ideology, others collude with Somali government and States, some joined Takfiir, some became Salafi's and others Al Shabaab.

They are called Wahhabi by some they believe and hold to some of their former beliefs while over looking others they believed not so long ago.

What is astonishing is, that former Jihadist and reformed Al Ictisaam supported a lying spy master in the campaign called Asad Osmaan who was doing America's bidding in the 'war on terrorism' the same type of guy that defeated them in 1992.

Asad is a bounty hunter and many Ictisaam would have called him out for what they termed 'Ashahaado la dirir' which they knew his agency as.

For them Puntland Intelligence or Counter Terrorism was 'Ashahaada la dirir' a term they helped popularise.

Of all the candidates they chose the lying spymaster they used to call his line of work 'Ashahaado la dirir'.

President Deni is know engaged in ideological dogmatic war with Ictisaam now.

He brought singers and in the first time music concerts are held in hotels which were forbidden and Ictisaam could shut off as there hand of influence stretched into the executive and security bodies of the State.

They are powerful as they control the religious establishments as well as business sectors.

Deni is trying to destroy the grip and power they were accumulating since they abandoned their violent struggle.
