Why? your bringing 'attraction' to yourself to be targeted and u will always remain in a constant cycle of suspicion, deception, snitching, joining armed groups, cutting deals for military investments, etc. Why? the culture is about this, your people want to feel safe and they feel like they never dreamed a world can exist in 'amaan lagu siiyo' due to the old world where there was no united nation or league of nations, world institutions, we never had a world order sxb ever this large and I think this is new to us like the 1960 govt was new to us and trust me we don't want to lose the world order or we go back to the same old world u remember.

But at the same time it hasn't gained much either by being neutral so is there a negative effect to remaining neutral. It worked brilliantly wallahi and there is proof to this they survived 3000 years living as civilians. So as Puntites our option of survival is

1. Neutral method like Oman. We are still armed and therefore potential 'threat' to the world. But if u keep trading like u did in the past, the same outcome will happen, u will just sit there waiting for world orders to fight an u will switch to the winner.

2. Live as civilians and approach the jewish method, let the other clans rule and implement the jewish model.

3. Military state again. I advice against this. We remember adal sultanates and harari wars, siyad barre state. No thanks, farming system is how the capitalist create peasant. Allah naga celiye gumaysi. I am majerten, i can revert to cano geel iyo hilib, my food is supplied. I am food secure. I need to focus more on how to keep weather reliable only so we don't suffer a drought. So lots of Puntites will head towards course relevant to that and they already do in environmental subjects.

Ofcourse PL still has her own funding. However there is still a national budget for the fms. Which is controlled by the fgs.

Think beyond n&n, the moment a real administration gets elected PL and the fgs will have a high level of communications. Instead of what we are experiencing now.

When pl gets industrialised, we can afford to extract our own resources. And with a population quite low compared to other peoples with the same landmass, we will be living like royalty at last.

We can construct lavish palaces for our traditional elders, and lavish goverment palaces. With the right connections we can purchase high tech state security. To keep the state safe at all costs.

With PL as example the other fms will have a lead to follow yet again.
