He made some good points.

1. Age restriction of 18 and above. Other places allow even 15 year olds to vote.
2. He is right about voter registration is always low in all democracies and doesn't reflect censuses. He used Kenya as an example, only 22 million registered and only 14 million turned out, but it's population is 51 million.

Here's kenya registration of voters

IEBC voter register | 22.1 million Kenyans to vote in August

We could use Golis/Somtel phone registration to 'gouge' population since 70-80% have phones, electricity capacity in towns, water facilities, why don't we use this data to provide real estimations, we will need to do estimations before census is done to ensure the census isn't corrupt itself.

If we use Kenya data to estimate. If only 22 million registered from 53 million. That's a 40% registration. So if we assume 40% registered in PL for 400k. Then 600k is missing. That's not including sool/cayn or parts of the mountains in bari and sanag.

40% registration is too high for this. I would say PL has registered around 25% of its population. Should put y’all at around 1.5 to 2 million

Like I told waxaa meesha iska diwangeliyay kaah, 25-30%, no other party even came out like mideeye/sincad who were among the top 3 if u remember the qardho result they were all 'tight' in numbers, showing 2 sections of equal numbers to kaah is missing.

I highly doubt international partners would’ve sullied their name by endorsing and funding that. There’s been independent observers and they would’ve decried the process. I’m sure all sorts of citizens have registered.

I’d say PLs population is in the 3-3.5 million range and thats for bari nugaal north mudug plus Sanaag
N.Mudug had a 300k population in 2014. The fact that the registration puts it at a similar size to Bari is interesting as I always assume Bari was much larger. Nugaal is relatively small compared to the two. So I’m not seeing where this 3.5 million population is. That would mean PL is the size of SL which I think it’s now pretty obvious it’s close to 40-50% of SL in size

Biyoole dams shows each dam supports 4000 families that's 28k and theirs been 32 done so far. That's nearly a million, not including water wells, plus if I only knew the 'coverage' rate of how many has been reached percentage wise, I could estimate the total population but that's never provided by the govt.

SL rural population is totally absent, their is only 2-3 dams

@bidenkulaha Mudug population is all in the north bro, the south is empty, not even a single dam, showing low nomad population in GM. U can't claim large nomad base with no water infrastructure

Hargeisa, Burco are in the top 4 most populated cities in Somalia. Then there’s Boromo and Ceerigaabo in the top 10. It’s not really comparable to PL which its population is greatest in Galkayo (which is shared with Galmudug which shrinks the city in its size) and Bosaso (which scored a 60k registration right? This would mean something like 10% participation if the population numbers are to be believed which I find unlikely)

I’m not going to get in an argument with you again about ‘rural population’ lol. This is too hard to quantify and I doubt PL has a much higher rural rate than other Somali regions

So is ogadeniya small just cuz it has no 'large city'? that's your theory, plus GDP facts show 60% is livestock, 40% urban, so u need nomads niyahow. 60% of somali ppl are there. PL will hail as landheere in nomadic count, plus we got 21 districts per 91 borders. GM is only 7 districts.

DDS is better compared to Oromia and other Ethiopian regions. It’s very sparsely populated.

In Somalia DDS would likely be multiple regions given the amount of clans that live there and how large the land mass is.

@bidenkulaha Bring me your hamar electricity companies, show me their mega-watts capacity, I can sub-divide how many homes it can power and we can assume 70% coverage rate. Plus water wells in the town can tell us how many homes it supports. Hormuud telephone registrations. U think we are in the 1960s, somalis r educated now

@bidenkulaha bring me one bill for a house for their electricity-water usage, I'll use that as a 'sample' of average household consumption and divide it based on your water/electricity total capacity. In the 60s somalis were new to this politics, now their not, no census will be accepted if it's outside the 'range' of infrastructure estimation.

Mogadishu has a demand of 200 MW according to BECO. So I’m intrigued go right ahead.
