This is great program, food quality and hygiene and presentation shows a High HDI indicator society, they are putting effort-thinking-innovation. We never refine or innovate our food, look how the west changes a potato into chips-fries-mashed potato-sweet potato-potato cake and so much more dalaq bay ka soo saaran, wa aragtan presesntationka ay samayan in restaurant, the service, the hygiene. None of this happens in Somalia, waxaa keenayso low human development, ma dhisno dadkeena maskaxdooda oo ay ku badeli lahayeen cuntadooda dalaqyo kala duwan.

We can beat hargeisa and mogadishu by focusing on dalaqyo kala duwan soo saaristeeda from milk-liquids-solids and the beat them in customer service, hygiene control, quality control.

If we want to reduce diseases we must increase our food quality which includes prepping-serving-cleanliness-presentation. That's the only way to make @SirLancelLord walk away and hide out like he has been about puntland pathway to a higher HDI development.

There is no industry in Somalia because of the nonexistent electricity grid and poorly maintained roads. Many jobs will be created in the agricultural and manufacturing sector once a power grid is build. Food will go to waste if it isn't properly stored.

That's why industry is only 10% of Somali GDP earning, 40% is livestock, 20% is agriculture(even tho it was 40% but due to the IDP crisis has dropped as their in camps not on their farmlands), 30% is imports.

Somalia Industry GDP ratio(skilled Industry mind you like cars-tvs-furniture-equipment parts not cheap ass raw food plants or else it's not much differet to farming but in a factory setting) and the 'service' sector should be like 40% each, if we are to reach middle income world status. To get 40% industry and 40% service sector GDP earnings, u need 80% of you population urbanized not like how it is now with 80% non urban and hence why their 3rd world. 3rd world means 'poverty' but their poor cause their doing 'rural activities' which require no real 'industry skills' When our industries start having 'skills' our GDP will sky rocket as the market pays high for skilled population not an unskilled one.

You are from Australia. Why don't you talk about mines? We have enough resources that we can mine and export. Somalia should also build steel mills and shipyards to boost our shiping and fishing industry.

We need a good service sector boom as majority of the unskilled urbanites will be in shops-hotels-hospitality work and when I say unskilled I mean those with only 'secondary schooling', this will be a large pool and it's these ones you want to 'produce and earn' since it' a large pool if their not 'earning' we can't create a 'construction' industry and put them into property purchases, nor will it lead to industries like furniture-doors-nails-window parts companies to respond and create more employment in the 'trade sector' and then a professional sector develops from 'trade' sector since the market is regulate thru laws-accounting and then technology sector comes later as it digitizes or automates all industries.

You are forgetting we really need 'service' sector first since majority only have secondary studies and no real skill, so we must look at setting up socialists policies, land subsidies, and health priorities for these poorer segment so it can lead to them purchasing at least one home in their life time, this is when our banks will start to grow thru borrow and lending for property boom among locals but it requires govt to subsidizes land plots for this segment and the banks are ultimately the largest driver in an economy without banks, we are heading nowhere economically speaking as people don't have 100k lying around in the house and need loans to become home owners and business start ups.

I really hope puntland takes a good look at their economic vision and policies as this is critical for us to move into middle income nation. It requires banks and then 'service' sector to employ these unskilled workers, govt intervention to set up land subsidies for this population so they become home owners, which then creates an economic response in industries developing like construction companies-carpenters-electricians-plumbers-housing parts factories.

TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Puntland Government is investing into creating PL currently under-utilized technical sector by preparing the 'human capital' thru skills transfer training in electricity-plumbing-textiles-hospitality. We need to see how this industry pilot project works out and their yearly production 'rate' and if it's successful I hope PL scale this region wide so it addresses the un-employment.

We need a strong technical trade and hospitality sector as this will ensure our locals can put food on their own table and wean of diaspora remittance, we must be careful however that we set up 'path-ways' to home ownership, we want the government to intervene for these workers to purchase their own property and we need the banking arm of borrowing and lending to assist, once this is done, it can lead to a cycle of workers and banks working together to increase our economic sector with construction which should lead into a response or by product factories opening up for construction items.

@Dalalos_ibn_Adali Puntland waxad imanaysa qof walbo shaqanayo oo industry kasto oo yaalo 'human capital' in the future while the rest of Somalia is chewing khat or unemployed, puntites are increasing their productivity rate which translates to 'wealth' gain in PL.

This is great take their unskilled ass because your unskilled in the economy if all you have is primary/secondary and fill them up into path-ways for technical trades like plumbing-electrician-furniture making-hospitality-shop assistants-and basic 'adeege' side of puntland economy.

An economy needs the following life-cycle 'academics and experts and thinkers' and 'industries of skilled and unskilled population which has it's own lifecycle of heirachy' Puntland requires a good base of thinkers-policy people but don't neglect we need 'skilled and unskilled' people to perform other tasks in a economy growth. But most importantly we need 'banks' without 'money' it will be difficult to start up new businesses, construction goes down as their no big local pool of home buyers, factory investment in construction items or by products like furniture-bedding companies won't start up. It's all connected in merry go around the lifecycle of the market place and we need 'capacity' everywhere in the lifecycle.

Mashallah this is great news, but why is it in the politics section :trumpsmirk:

Mining and oil will only hire 1000 people at a low level manual workforce, most of the engineers will be foreigners and even if it's local, it's just a company and won't get somalia rich with 1000 workers. We need service sector, when u in the west majority is 'food-clothes stores' which is shop assistants or hotel staff and trade technical sectors like plumbing-electrician.

This is the bulk of the population employment not 'oil companies' and even if you have oil, the only way it can work is thru high taxation rate on the company and product and recirculating it into 'welfare' payments like 'saudi' does and their middle class is absent and all they have is top 1% and empty middle class. This isn't an economic model I want for puntland. I want a home buyer market after we establish our service sector and get our people into servicing sector and technical trade. We are missing home buyer economy, this will add large wealth gains if each family in puntland could buy a home, it wud generate a value chain thru by-product companies and booming professional sector and construction by product factories.

This is what Puntites doing, we investing our human capital towards locals and creating infrastructure for them. Development waxaa uu bahan shacabka not diaspora 'high towers'. Every nation and region is measured in HDI development using key metrics of 'water, electricity, infrastructure, hospitals, food security, schooling and quality of curriculum, poverty levels per 1000 of your locals, unemployment rate. That is HDI waryaa, what the hell does 10 storey tower change in your human development.

Get in here @Lion of Tanade and try to refute what I said and show me where Puntland ranks in HDI and it's the highest among somalis.
