Puntland Scientific Research Facilities

I hope after PL has completed the tasks of basic service delivery which is taking a very long time due to 'bad governance' if there was good governance alot of this would've been completed quickly, but due to how weak our governance is, it's unreliable and the donors have to becare-ful not to lose 'charity' funds because they need to account for it to the nations who donated it.

Do not ask nations to spend their taxpayer money and not deliver the charity outcomes assigned to it, that is unreasonable. So I am suprised why PL people are not uprising against their government and demanding good governance because it's hurting them the most. The only reason there is no good governance in PL is because they want to be able to take advantage of the system to suit their personal or local interests but if we keep doing this we are not on the path of become a government with a GDP but heading towards a 'corporation' that serves the interest of few. The interests of a few doesn't lead to GDP developing as the locals will remain how they are.

So what do u think should be our next outcome, if we speed up our basic outcome delivery like roads, water, reliable electricity coverage, sanitation, sewage, drainage.

I say be 'weary' of how much we invest in scientific research, when I spoke to a chinese person he told me his govt stopped scientific research because it requires too much investment in facilities and they don't end up developing anything. I checked chinese nobel peace prizes from 1.5 billion population they have only like 3 inventors in the science field. So this warned me scientific research is taxpayer heavy investment program and I don't think puntites will like their taxes being wasted if puntites are not returning any useful invention.

I do say we open up 'small' research facility like Australia has and handle our 'domestic' scientific needs and possibly the region. As for the locals and income which is what all Somalis care about, it is important to create income for the I agree, because without them having income, our service industry has no customers. Right now they have diaspora customers only and this is going to create a 'ghetto' in garowe where the majority are broke. Without incomes for our locals there is no-way to generate business activity, because businesses respond to customer need. If we can't show there is a business need in our locals(meaning they have money in their pocket) it's very difficult to generate GDP growth. Once our locals have money, the govt is self sufficient and won't need loans or aid anymore.

Right now the only locals being employed are those rural nomads and coastal settlers(fishing), the city people are the ones who they need to plan for the most and not rely on diaspora income kkkkk, you can't bring back western world money and then create an industry from it in garowe, waxasi waa 'calool kale ayaan lacagtisa' suuqa ka samaysanaya sida hargeisa iyo hamar, wax shaqaynayo ma aha. I want to come to garowe where the locals have the same income or at least similar in the future not sit there and rely on my income.

U can't teach them to rely on diaspora income and find out ways to create industries and up-skill their qualifications, once they have real qualifications from real universities, you can take all those 'hayad' jobs which will kick start a small economy on it's own, from there u can invite more companies and show them the labor has recognized university degrees. But that is impossible untill the govt itself is not a business because it will lead to black market economy
