Deni this political instability with the South has been on-going since 2009 till 2023. This attempt to change the parliamentary system is just another 'jambal' by looting forces behind the scenes to keep Somalia unstable, in-fact they work on 'isku dir' between Somali clans on who they vote for president or nominate for PM, their agenda is the instability to continue. Today they back HSM who they know PL will spend 4 years to over-throw, then they will back some centralist MJ to cause internal war in PL, they will do the same with ogaden/marehans. These dark looting forces don't care for any clan, their only agenda is Somalia doesn't ever have stable govt.
I welcome your condemnation on the war on the parliamentary system
But this isn't enough. Are we going to continue every 4 years for another 100 years in this same cycle of instability? So I present the solution that PL must consider. We must consider 100 year treaty with the SFG, where PL is sovereign and independent and every 25 years will conduct federal reviews with the SFG to see if the conditions are ready for union if not the treaty will continue untill such time the treaty expires in 99 years. Once expired we can conduct a final review on the south for union, extend the treaty for another 100 years, or begin the separation process.
Why I propose this treaty system is the following reason.
1. Internationally we can convince the world community that PL will be independent and sovereign for a set period of time and will continue doing 25 year interval union reviews with the SFG.
2. It ensures we don't take an 'extreme' solution of separation or an extreme union but this provides a middle ground where PL can continue un-disturbed while also watching over Somalia from the 'outside' every 25 years. This allows us to save our region while coming back for the south when we are stronger to save them. But this union pact that we must all be saved is unrealistic.
3. 100 year treaty allows PL to develop peacefully and engage the world and develop it's international profile so in the instance we do separate from Somalia, our international profile has matured and we won't be deemed a risk or at best 'wait n see'
4. 100 year treaty balances our unionist and secessionist aspirations without being 'extreme' to one side. We can convince the unionist PL will detach itself from Somalia but will do constant 25 year reviews to determine if a safe and productive union is possible. We can convince our secessionist that PL will not be stalled any longer nor will we sit idly and die because 1 town called mogadishu can't get it's act together.
5. Somalis focusing on their part of Somalia separate from each other will foster stronger patriotism, but a somalia where 1 city's mess holds the whole nation hostage will only contribute further hatred between people.
