The Investment Expo will bring together leading international and Somali/Puntland decision makers, business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to dialogue and transact on bankable investment opportunities in Puntland State. The Investment Expo will convene private equity fund mangers, development finance institutions, bankers, institutional investors, and project developers to review and transact on investment projects in Puntland State from key sectors such as fisheries, agriculture, livestock, power, energy, real estate, manufacturing, financial services, and infrastructure. The Expo will focus on unlocking private sector finance and investment in Puntland as well as boosting trade and investment between Puntland and other regions in Somalia and abroad.

Fishing in Puntland
Puntland has 1,600 km coastline along the Indian Ocean. Its waters are home to some of the richest fishing grounds in Africa.There is potential for great success with renewed investment in this sector. Local and International demand for fish is growing and this creates a great opportunity to develop fishing operations in Puntland.
Livestock
Livestock production accounts for 60-65% of the gross domestic product (GDP). Livestock is the backbone of the countryβs economy and supports the largest production community of the Somali people.
