I urge Puntites to look at the 'stock exchange' of 'commodities' not just 'oil' copying the arabs, there is lots more viable commodities that we can produce in our region. I was looking at 'steel' which is dominated by China and why they love 'infrastructure' projects because it provides their 'steel factories' with global customers.
We could play 'middle man' role for China for Africa infrastructure development if we cut a deal with them to give a 'small slice' of the 'market' only 10% would be sufficient, we can do the same with Saudis and say give PL it's slice of oil market '10%''. We need to focus on stock exchange when designing economies and preparing the locals with the skills needed for that commodity, we must never 'decide' what we 'think' is best or follow 'political idealogy like Salafiya or Communist'.
The market is determined what is required we must not politicize that. We also need an 'internal' economic design to ensure locals pursue 'start up', have access to banks, diaspora investments like the irish did for their poor locals, and foreign investment. The goal is to empower the local base not empower the 'elites'
