I was recently listening to Dr. Abdiwelis gaas inauguration speech and a few things stood out. The ex-prime minister of Somalia and president of Puntland was shocked to find out how lawless and abandoned mudug was made by the previous Puntland governments. The two previous governments of Puntland allocated all the government resources to Bari and Nugal even though mudugs populations was taxed extensively during their autocratic reign. They wouldn’t mind if the entire mudug region was burning.
The mudug region needs to declare independence from the rest of Mahamud Saleban and join their brothers in the established government of Galmudug.
