What makes Puntland such a success? Is it because of its people, the land or its leaders? Does Puntland have a secret formula unknown to the rest of Somalis?
I used to laugh at Puntland but as the years turned into a decade the laugh turned into a smile. The difference in superiority shows month by month as Mogadishu continues to rot and decay. I visited Garoowe twice and was really impressed. Made me realise how behind my people are.
Smile I did when I heard that Puntland went crazy after hearing Mogadishu gained 13 seats in the upper house. I said to myself what happened to the 6 decades of Mj and Abgaal special relationship. Many Abgaals really believed in this relationship. But a Mj buddy of mine said we were ridding them like a dameer for sixty years.
Puntland is not successful just because of tribalism. If that were true than the bush people would be successful too. I think that Puntland is a success because its people put Puntland before anything, including Somalia. For them Puntland always comes first. In comparison a Hawiye puts Somalia first. In Mogadishu the hawiye is nothing today because the fool put the interest of so called Somalia before his own. Now feasted on by the horrible bush people and swallowed up by all the langaabs in every corner of Somalia
Why is Galmudug starting to be a success today? Why is it better than Mogadishu? Why is our life worth more than our Hawiye brethren in Mog. Is it luck? I think the answer is simple. It is because we copied Puntland. Puntland is the real deal but light years ahead of us, its people more united and wiser. The closest thing we have to Garoowe mentality is Cadaado. Reer Haji Saleebaan are absolute masters. Their foresight and leadership helped pull out Galmudug from Farmajoo’s trap.
Farmajoo has really opened my eyes to this. He and his langaab supporters have made me hate the blue flag. It now represents oppression, corruption and bush people. It is a flag that will choke you and humiliate you. I hate a langaab with no land talk to me about federalism being bad and central government being good. I hate bush people using the Somali flag for their own tribal interest. I am so sick of it.
That is why I choose to use the Galmudug flag. It represents my blood, my land and my people. It tells the world who I am and how this federal state was born.
If my people can be like puntlanders and believe that Galmudug is a government more powerful than the one in Mogadishu. If they start to like the Galmudug flag more than the horrible blue one. If our leaders can be like president Deni of Puntland or his excellency Faroole than maybe we too can be a success like Puntland.
I admire the great politician Faroole. He puts the interest of Mj and Puntland before Somalia. He is proud of this and is not ashamed of it. A true great leader for his people who has a real vision.
I hate going to Mogadishu now. It sickens my stomach seeing bush people living good and with good jobs that belong to the locals. Whilist the locals struggle and bear their suffering and pain in silence.
Abgaal now nod their heads and agree that Aidid was right. The only Hawiye that has balls today along with some HG is Xawaadle. I think these people have potential. Many of them agree and accept my view point when I say be like Puntland.
Hiirsheblle please be like Puntland. Abgaals in Mog, wake up and please be like Puntland. Tell bush people pack their bags and to go home and that this turf is yours. Be like Puntland. And burn that blue flag too.
Nobody’s laughing at Puntland any more. It is laughing at all the losers in Somalia. Lastly, Rahaweyne and Hawiye come to work, look for jobs and life in Puntland. What does this say? How are the real losers now.
