Our whole policy so far is identical to other 'red sea' states like Bosaso and Berbera. We are trying to act and serve like some 'strategic' location for the world based on the oil trade from Saudi. Djibouti has taken that deal. The only option open for us to hire out bases for 'America' opposition which is Russia. Do we want to re-do the cold war again? Russia is totally a shell of itself today. The USSR has collapsed. All those eastern european nations are under America protection. In-fact America has 'Nuclear' bases in a number of those countries.
The other thing is. Being Military/Naval base around our 'lifeline' and business capital is to risky for me to sign. The first thing the enemy of your ally will attack is their Bases and if that is Bosaso, this could have catastrophic impacts on us economically. Imagine our port bombed out? and our cities turned to ashes? all that hard work over 20 years destroyed because of our silly political policies of joining in this tit for tat race by world powers around the red sea.
It's obvious once a victor arises from Yemen which may be never, but if it's the Houthis, the Russians are going to have a Base/Naval/Air facilities in Aden and the battle will happen in Yemen when they bomb the oil supply lines of Saudi and stop all the oil cargo in the red sea.
They will Bomb out Djibouti to ensure Americans are removed so they have control over the sea link. The only reason their targetting Saudi is their is number of countries attached to their oil supplies, the Russians feel they can negiotate with their countries based on the 'security interest' of Oil Reserves and if Russia is prominent in the red sea, this will further help their revival as a super power.
I do not want us to entertain that silly policy of Sade ever again joining world super power problems. Their are many countries who are neutral and doing fine in the world stage and focusing on empowering their people, economy, and ensuring the security of their territories. Rwanda is prime example and model we should follow. We should not be a nation involved in any world matters, I don't want to risk the fall-out effect again as we are not prepared to deal with 100 IQ nations in their politics. Even 80 IQ nations like the Mid-east cannot handle the West and the proof in pudding is Syria-Iraq-Yemen-Libya, the lower IQ nations are always the 'blood-bath' not the 100 IQ nations. Untill our IQ have reached a similar level to those nation, we must not even attempt joining geopolitics. This is one of the critical mistakes Siyad made, but his a damn b22n dee, what does a b22n know, if he knew anything gedo would be the most productive region in Somalia
