Not only does she compares FGM to labiaplasty (a procedure performed on consenting adult women in sanitized conditions, under anaesthesia by a medical professional). She also calls it excision (neutral term for surgical cutting). Imagine being so out of touch that you think that downplaying the horrors that affect young girls, is somehow gonna help them. Not to mention the fact that somali women, who are FGM survivors, were telling her in the comments how tone deaf her take is. Yet somehow she manages to bring up white women, who are the least of our concern in regards to this issue.

All these deluded xalimos speaking to a foreign audience about our internal issues thinking they care about us at all or our issues. Its frustrating to watch them speak to the wrong audience thinking it would bring a positive result.
