Anti-terror police were going to arrest two guys they were trailing in the market. Their clansmen starting fighting the police with sticks. The police ran away only to return a short while later then started shooting at the mob. Two people died. Apparently the officer who killed the people was Somali.

In my opinion, they should have let the cops arrest the guys. The area has experienced too many Al Shabaab attacks lately.

Marehan have been recognized as corner tribe in Mandera and Ali Roba gave them chief so they will no longer claim other clans to get ID.
