Drone-strikes and airstrikes are of course effective, it's used by every army in the world and used to fight every insurgency in the world.

I said the people should protest against the FGS for not taking a hardline stance to fight against Al Shabab, and youre saying... the government doesnt want to fight against al shabab.

Plus, there doesnt exist any clans who are anti shabab, who will become pro shabab. Any clan that could support al shabab, already do.

A few weeks with a strong air campaign and ground operations would eradicate them.
