Even if it is, so what? All that matters is that you get universal health care coverage and you don't pay for health care services upfront and that there is only 1 insurer. Big deal if a private company runs a health authority. Private companies already deliver a large portion of health care anyway. Better they run it than union fat cat bosses. Health care workers in private settings make more money and can actually lodge complaints about their useless colleagues and have something done about it so its a big plus for workers and the system. Private care means better health care service.
My doctor is employed by my phone company that has their own health care company. Amazing service. I can be seen within the same day through video call if I want even though I don't agree with that and he faxes my prescription himself to Costco and I get my prescription in the mail within a few days. Private sector is great. NHS privatization is a good thing.
