Why are parents hard on their eldest child?
I felt sorry for my older brother growing up. I swear he would get lectured every day everyday night about the most trivial things. He couldn't make any mistakes.

I admire him so much he is like my second dad, he would drop me off to school, pick me up , take me to where I wanted, buy me clothes and food while he has other responsibilities like paying the rent, working, and going to university.

We should appreciate our older siblings more❤ lockdown got me missing him.

Still I hold it down for my family. I send my parents a hefty sum monthly to make sure they're bills are straight, I help out my younger brother who isn't working with money. Give advice/check up on my siblings.

When I was younger, I was far from being a good example to my younger siblings. Whenever I came to my parents guri I reeked of geetho, I got caught drunk several times, I got caught wassing a chick in school washroom in high school

My brother is gentle with his children,he lets them do whatever and buys them whatever they want. The way he was raised didn't influence him to be the same with his own children.

I respect that, nowadays as a open minded society we strive for better futures for our kids we dont let somali idealogy influence us but we dont lose our culture like gaalos

He teaches them the deen Alhamduliah. That's what I like about him.both of us have a passion for our religion compared to my other siblings.
