I am not sure why everywhere the president goes, there is this big gathering or welcoming? the president is 'civil servant' of the state, he isn't the STATE himself. Is the nation still stuck following the dictatorship model of Siyad Barre?
The only time we should hold ceremonies or welcomings like this is when it's regional important days and Puntland history. The president shouldn't need a constant 'protocol' welcoming inside his own nation where he was 'elected' by the parliament, he didn't come into power himself like a dictatorship. The more the president looks like a civilian, the more the government appears to be a civilian govt. The more the president looks bigger then the state, the more it looks like the MAN is more important then the GOVT or LAW. It sends a bad message to the world about your government.
