i think it was the overall tone that got people. if you watch other tourists that went into somalia yes they would show things such as extreme poverty and other issues facing places in mogadishu like broken buildings but they would also show better parts like people playing around in the beach or go to a local restaurant and engage with the locals and look like they are having a good time. itβs been awhile since iβve seen the video but i donβt remember any of that on his video, if there were it was very little. just negative after negative in a tone that sounds like he came simply to insult the place and head offInitially I was annoyed but let's be real. There are rocks and garbage on streets and beaches, there are damaged roads. There is extreme poverty and extreme wealth living side by side without even a hint of a promise of distributing wealth or providing a safety net.
In fact, Somalis back home should take real pictures, to show that tax money is being misappropriated.
