Yeah the thumbnail is messed up. But he didn insult somalis or said something disrespectful. Personally i liked the doc because it actually showes you how it looks. Not the propaganda shit. The Russian did a good job. He showed how lazy and dirty Somali towns and cities are. How is it possible for these people to collect tax but they cannot pick up garbage on streets or beaches?
Back in the day, before the wars, there were city people and baadiye people, one lifestyle is not better than the other, however city folk cannot survive in baadiye nor can baadiye people manage to live in cities..
Now, the reer baadiye are controlling the cities and you can notice it from how poorly run things are. I genuinely believe that it's not just corruption, they just don't know any better.

i disagree with most people here. there were other youtubers that goes to mogadishu and other parts of somalia and there is little care so the problem isnβt people going to somalia and showing the bad parts, the difference is that the russian was very antagonistically biased in the filming.

Initially I was annoyed but let's be real. There are rocks and garbage on streets and beaches, there are damaged roads. There is extreme poverty and extreme wealth living side by side without even a hint of a promise of distributing wealth or providing a safety net.
In fact, Somalis back home should take real pictures, to show that tax money is being misappropriated.
Niggas back home take IG pics in the rich areas but never show the slums
