My point was that if you marry a woman and then leave her lonley with young kids and no friends whilst you're out at sea, don't expect her to favour you. She may as well build a closer bond with her neighbours who come around and help around and give companionship compared to a man whos gone a good chunk of the year

Yes, leave a woman and you teach her how to live without you and then she’ll get a divorce and you only have yourself to blame. You’re not in her life, you’ve proved you’re not needed. She has her neighbors and people around her and there are probably men there who are there the whole time as well. Simple as that. People marry to have relationships and companionships.

A woman may accept the sacrifice of her husband being away if she knows her and her kids will be the ones that are benefiting ect. But now she has to share you (seeing you even less) on top of you being away and on top of that getting less money of from you? Wtf do you as a man even have to offer at that point?

That is why I think some men are truly dumb and think life only revolves around what benefits them. The worst type.
