Why would Deni want to meddle in SWS internal politics when he wouldn't accept someone like Qoorqoor helping the Puntland opposition groups
It's simple. In this current point of time Laftagareen/Deni have a common enemy being HSM. Therefore it makes sense for them to create an alliance. Even though Laftagareen and Deni were previously on different sides now they have United against HSM due to Deni falling out with him recently. If Laftagareen is replaced with a president who is pro HSM then Deni will be lonely defending himself so it is in his interests to defend Laftagareen.
Listen I get this whole "my enemy's enemy is my friend" logic but HSM isn't a threat to PL as long as PL applies federalism properly. Somalia is not confederal
Exactly if Laftagaren and Qoor Qoor are removed and Madoobe placated by Hamza Barre appointment, Deni would be alone, he needs allies to fight the neo HAG mafia.
Deni and Laftagareen are only taking precautions. Reason being if HSM attacks Baidoa and Laftagareen or tries to cut Lower Shabele from KG then Deni automatically knows he's next in line to be attacked.Vice versa if HSM attacks Puntland and Deni then Laftagareen knows he's next. It only makes sense to create a defence where if one is attacked the other can cut ties from the federal government putting pressure on the FGS and HSM to think twice about his actions.
Exactly. Now if Puntland is attacked by HSM Laftagareen/SWS will immediately cut ties with FGS putting pressure on HSM and Puntland will do the same if KG/ Laftagareen is attacked or if HSM makes any moves on Lower Shabeele.
Puntland and SWS are both united in supporting Federalism and not having their affairs dabbled by the FGS. Therefore them making a alliance right now
But federalism means a strong national government and only one military for the whole country. Renegade FMSs would rather be a lackey for poverty ridden foreigners (eg Xabashi or fufus) then be a loyal subordinate of the FGS in the name of partiotism.
Either we fully unite under one rule or we all separate fully and become a series of weak mini states each controlled and pimped by 3rd world African countries
The issue is HSM isn't heading to that direction. HSM is the same one who said Somalia does not need a strong national army. I understand Farmaajo who was building a strong army. So how does that coincide with what your saying. You want a strong national army with weaker FMS when HSM was the same one who was telling Soldiers to take $100 or go home.
Laftagareen received a great welcome in Puntland. Puntland hosts a huge South west population.
Its impossible to remove LS from KG state you would need the approval of both regional and federal parliament. The era of reshaping federal states is over
