Al Shabab has limited presence in central regions compared to the south. Jubbaland & southwest state regions should be given priority number 1 in this fight if we want to get rid of them for good.

I agree with you that most of the revenue is from the South and focus should definitely be there. But I foresee major political issues.

Most of the issues comes from non-centralised institutions. Like who gets to sign port deals. Who gets the tax revenue of that land. Who gets the resources.

Say SNA goes and liberates Jilib, what happens? We need a dastuur that everyone agrees to otherwise this will be a clash that never ends like we saw with Farmaajo in Gedo where FGS just invades/controls parts of the FMS.

At least all the states bar PL have agreed to a universal national curriculum/education. Inshallah we can agree on taxation next.

Why waste all those dollars on transporting them to Gedo region? You can not liberate Bu’aale from Gedo and it has been proven many times again. Farmaajo sent thousands of troops to Gedo region in the last 5 years and not once have they liberated an inch of middle Juba region. The troops in Gedo region were only meant for politics. It will be harder for the central government to take command of these rogue militas who have now set up isbaaros in Luuq district following tribal clashes..
