So you can't criticise or have a political disagreement with the current Puntland administration if you studied there? And you people call Farmaajo an authoritarian?
What he's doing is hypocrisy of the highest order. Farmaajo wants to take away the privileges @Calaf and @Von enjoyed from others. They make it seem like Puntland needs some kind of liberation from Farmaajo, yet they themselves didn't go where Farmaajo rules, but they went to Puntland. You can't be running advocating for Farmaajo but run away from Farmaajos terrible policies.
I wonder how @Calaf would feel if he was a student a year ago when Farmaajo tried to play politics at the expense of students in Puntland and tried everything in his power to make their diploma be worthless? Would he still support him out of qabyalad at the expense of his education?

This isn't the first time I've heard this accusation. Could you perhaps tell me what happened and source it if possible? I find it hard to believe that the FGS would deliberately alienate Puntland this way.

This guy played major role in the Somalia-Turkey relationships, as he was the ambassador when Erdogan arrived in Somalia in 2011. It was in that year that Turkey arrived in Somalia. Hes a former chief of staff and a senior member of the foreign affairs committee at the Turkish Parliament. His words carry weight

They are now in opposition to Erdogan and created their own "Future Party". After three years of existence it is literally at the zero level in term of representation. It has never had access to the policy-making process. It is the second party from the bottom in the long list of Turkish parties.

Puntland has the best education system un Somalia, and I am not even bragging. PL had a unified education curriculum as early as 2009, but even before the unified state wide curriculum it had the best schools. There's a reason why Calaf went to Puntland as a diaspora citizen. The rift started when Farmaajo and co demanded that Puntland, who has a different curriculum, participates in the examinations of Xamar. Puntland said they have their own central examinations and won't participate in Xamars examinations, and additionally they said Xamars exams always get leaked and is sold in bakaara market. Ironically, as PL predicted, Xamars exam's were being sold in the markets and online, and the exams were postponed few weeks.

I get it. Torun used to be a thing in the past, but now he is not. His words carry no weight on the present Turkish foreign policy . There is no change to the support of the FGS by Turkey.
By the way, Erdogan only listens to the leader of the far-right Grey Wolves party. The Turks are stubbornly nationalistic and revere the Grey Wolves and have a borderline mental obsession with the Turkish flag.

I just don't see any evidence that the Ministry of Education was motivated by a nebulous desire to punish students in Puntland. Did students in other federal member states have to take this exam? If so, it seems like the FGS was just centralising the examination process across these disparate curriculums.

They have been reported to the world and now everybody is looking into this military unit and all the troops that have been trained by Farmaajo- including donor countries.
This is why these people come to Puntland to study instead of building their own institutions, they don't have the wisdom to understand context, all they do is parrot lies and troll.
