Yo @PuntiteQueen. The south has no oil, it's a load of shit. Maybe offshore but not onshore. Oil companies require large leases of land, were talking big acrages so they can dig as many wells as possible. The south cannot do this without losing farming land, requiring rural people to leave the land and cause an influx into the cities.

So forget Lower Juba -Middle Juba-Gedo-Shabellaha-Hiiraan since it's agriculture land and it's being USED. OIL only happens on UN-USED land be it deserts or ICE lands like Russia and Canadia artic zone. The only hope for oil in Somalia is from Galgaduud to Berbera and Burco since Hargeisa to Awdal is farming also and they can't give up that sort of land acreage without displacing people. Basically anywhere people are settled heavily cannot be used for OIL production, they need EMPTY LAND. Look at all the oil reserves around the world, it's empty and unused or unsettled land. Anywhere where it's used and settled population like farming will never get oil reserve.
